General Laboratory Testing

General laboratory tests include some common tests ordered by your physician to determine your health status as part of routine check-ups, or for diagnosis of potential diseases. These tests will also enable us analyze the effectiveness of our treatment procedures. At True Health, we offer facilities for the following tests.

Blood and Metabolic Panels include Complete Blood Count (CBC) checks for red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets to identify symptoms for anemia, immune disorders, and clotting, as well as Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP) checks to evaluate the function of kidneys, liver, pancreas, etc.

Thyroid tests including blood TSH, Free T3, and Free T4, and tests or antibody action are included in our comprehensive thyroid testing panel. We try to keep our reference ranges to a minimum so that the condition can be detected in the early stages, and appropriate treatment procedures can be followed effectively.

 If your symptoms point to potential liver dysfunction, a liver panel may be ordered instead of a general CMP which includes basic tests for liver function. Our comprehensive liver panel include tests for ALT (to detect hepatitis), ALP (blockage in the bile ducts), Bilirubin, Albumin, and Total Protein (TP).

 Assessing your Cholestrol levels is important to keep heart disease in check. We have advanced testing panels for Cholestrol to not which not only evaluates the LDL, HDL, and Trigyceride levels, but also the dominance of the lipid particles. Detailed tests involve multiple checks for subgroups of each class of lipoproteins to determine the severity of the condition.

Diabetes, certain liver and kidney disorders, and infections can be detected by examining urine samples. Symptoms of the disease manifest as unusual proteins or other substances in the urine which can be identified with the help of various microscopic, chemical and visual examinations. Patients suffering from abdominal pain, back aches, unusually frequent urination, and blood in the urine are candidates for urinary analysis. If abnormalities are detected, further evaluation and additional tests may be required as per physician’s recommendations. Changes in hormone levels can cause anxiety, sleep disorders, fatigue, and weight gain among many others. These changes are often set off by stress or aging. The hormones are not released into their exact locations, and hence, the function of the receptor cells are largely impaired. Due to the interactive nature of hormones which helps to maintain a careful balance, most often multiple hormone deficiencies or disorders are responsible for your symptoms.
